Why I Will Never Offer
Muscle Building or Fat Loss
Supplements

The one aspect that I make clear in both my MuscleNOW.com and FatVanish.com sites is that muscle building and fat loss supplements should be avoided for two reasons, one being that most do not work as advertised, and secondly, if you find one that does enhance progress, there is an inherent health risk, as any product that causes your body to build muscle or burn fat any faster than is possible through proper diet and training does so through a mechanism that cannot be guaranteed safe. In fact, there is no incentive for supplement providers to test such products to determine impact on long term health, as they consider this to be the government's job and, unfortunately, the FDA will not interfere unless they receive overwhelming evidence that a particular product is causing immediate health concerns. Quite obviously, in most cases, if long term damage (such as cancer) is caused by taking a particular supplement, no identifiable direct link would exist, as very few would even consider a supplement, especially one which is legal, to have such potential side effects, and therefore, they would blame other factors, not considering the share of today's medical problems that supplements may truly account for. To rightfully place health and well being above any level of muscle gain or fat loss, one must train and eat to reach their own individual genetic potential, and never try to exceed their natural limits through using either supplements or drugs due to the previously noted dangers, therefore, I do not carry any products that claim to build muscle or burn fat, as my confidence in their effectiveness and safety is extremely low.

You may wonder why I offer a section for egg protein, and another devoted to vitamins/minerals, and I'll explain why I've decided to carry these two categories of products on my IncrediBody.com site. Most who seek to live a healthy lifestyle realize the importance of sufficient protein in the diet to both recover from training and control insulin levels, with the majority turning to whey protein powders when they need convenience or portability. The problem with almost every protein powder on the market can be found by reading the ingredient label, which is filled with additives and artificial sweeteners that may be potentially damaging to health (cancer causing), and those who follow my MuscleNOW.com bodybuilding program were in need of a protein powder to use for convenience and portability; thankfully, I was informed of a protein product that contains NO additives or artificial sweeteners whatsoever, and is made of 100% pure dried egg whites, making for a perfectly healthy, portable, and convenient protein source. I also found a liquid egg product that contains no additives or artificial sweeteners, therefore, decided to offer these products here at www.IncrediBody.com as far safer alternatives to what most are using today for their protein needs. Since most who are involved in physical fitness use protein powders and/or drinks when they are in need of convenience, you can rest assured that those available at this site do not contain any artificial ingredients whatsoever, and are 100% pure egg based protein products that you can consume with confidence. I selected egg based protein because certain whey products have been said to contain MSG, a preservative that has been linked to serious health risks, and frighteningly enough, MSG is not required to be listed on food labels, therefore, you may be consuming whey products with MSG, and never know the difference!

My vitamin/mineral section offers several products that either enhance long term health (a multi-vitamin/mineral tablet, antioxidant formula, molecularly distilled fish oil, etc), or help alleviate pain of sports related injuries, such as joint discomfort (MSM/Glucosamine/Chondroitin). These products are not aimed at building the body beyond genetic capacity, but rather, promote, as opposed to harm, health and well being, therefore I feel they are items that the physical fitness industry will benefit from. I use a multi-vitamin/mineral, the egg powder, and have taken Glucosamine/Chondroitin during periods where I've experienced joint pain, and these products can positively impact long term health, thus are of benefit. In fact, research has indicated that, when training intensely, vitamins/minerals/antioxidants are necessary to defend against free radical damage, thus reducing the risk of disease (as opposed to bodybuilding supplements, which may potentially damage health).

Since the protein powders and vitamins/minerals are either innocent in nature or help to enhance long term health and well being, I will provide these products here at IncrediBody.com, but will avoid selling muscle building or fat loss supplements due to their potential dangers, and I encourage you to avoid using these products as part of your training regimen. Natural bodybuilding and/or weight loss should IMPROVE, or at minimum compliment health, but aiming for supplements that claim to circumvent natural limitations may shorten your lifespan, leading to serious medical issues that would otherwise not exist, and it would not surprise me if many of the medical ailments we experience in our western culture are directly related to artificial sweeteners and additives in our food supply, as well as supplements that so many use to try and gain a competitive edge.
